Michelin and Belshina to Upgrade Capacity

This past week, Michelin and Belshina announced separately that they would be upping outputs by upgrading their facilities to produce more OTR Tires.

Michelin is making a $90M investment in their Lexington, SC plant. Michelin, unfortunately is not giving any details as to how much the plant will contribute to existing tire outputs.

Belshina, on the other hand, is saying they are looking at an increase of 7%. They are currently expanding their radial facilities, and will begin producing tires for Rigid Dumpers. They will begin with tires in the 35″ range, and expand to 37 different sizes by 2010.

Michelin и «Белшина» собираются модернизировать производство

На прошлой неделе компании Michelin и «Белшина» объявили о том, что каждая из них собирается увеличить выпуск внедорожных шин за счет модернизации производства.

Michelin собирается инвестировать 90 млн. долларов в завод в Лексингтоне, шт. Южная Каролина. К сожалению, компания не дает никакой информации о том, каков будет вклад этого завода в увеличение производства шин.

С другой стороны, компания «Белшина» заявляет, что собирается увеличить выпуск продукции на 7%. В настоящее время идет расширение производства по выпуску радиальных шин, и компания скоро начнет выпускать шины для самосвалов с жесткой рамой. Первым будет запущено производство 35-дюймовых шин, а к 2010 году компания будет производить 37 различных размеров.
